Pre-Engagement

The 5th World Scout Education Congress experience is more than a four-day event. The journey starts before the Congress and continues long after it ends through conversations, collaboration, and shared learning. Before arriving in Singapore, participants will have the opportunity to join virtual sessions designed to build connections, explore key topics, share experiences, and get ready for the Congress.

The Congress Begins Here

Connect with participants from around the world to build connections, explore new ideas, and understand challenges from different contexts and perspectives.
Set the Azimuth - Plan Your Learning Experience
Explore the programme, themes, and learning opportunities. Set an intention and direction for your journey, plan ahead and identify what knowledge, skills, and competencies you want to develop by the end of your journey. Visualise the outcomes and impact you want to create.
Got an idea you’d like to grow or expertise you’d like to share? Start finding your connections before you arrive. Through workshops and other collaborative opportunities, you’ll be able to exchange ideas, share works in progress, find inspiration, and connect with people whose interests can help your ideas take root and flourish.
Bring forward the key challenges facing young people, adults, and communities today, and explore how Scouting education can evolve to address them. Through collaborative workshops and innovation methodologies, participants will identify root causes, plant new ideas, and cultivate practical solutions. Selected ideas may even be incorporated into innovation and hackathon activities during the Congress itself.
Join a pre-Congress webinar series designed to prepare participants for the journey ahead. Through conversations, shared learning, and exploration of key themes, participants cultivate new ideas, connections, and perspectives before gathering in person. Get ready for learning, collaboration, and innovation to flourish throughout the Congress.

Research Currents - Academic Papers Exchange

Have expertise or ideas to share? We’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for abstracts and papers that showcase research, innovative practices, case studies, lessons learned, and new ideas that can strengthen Scouting’s educational impact and inspire new approaches to youth development.
Share your work with a global audience and contribute to conversations on leadership, inclusion, community action, global citizenship, and the future of learning in Scouting.

Streams Beyond - Join the Congress Journey in Your NSO

National Scout Organizations can organise their own education-focused events, dialogue spaces, or consultations before or after the Congress. Interested NSOs may be able to receive technical support and guidance to support these activities.
By creating local opportunities for discussion and reflection, NSOs can bring national perspectives into the global Congress and ensure that more voices help shape the future of Scouting education.
