Pre-Arrival into Singapore
Please note that transportation to accommodation will not be provided. Delegations are to make their own transport arrangements from their point of arrival to their accommodations.
Visa Requirements
- Their passport is valid for at least six months from the date of entry
- They meet Singapore’s entry requirements at the point of travel
- They comply with any prevailing immigration, health, or customs regulations
- ALL visitors to Singapore must also complete the electronic SG Arrival Card (SGAC), regardless of visa requirements.
- Submission of SGAC is Free and can be done via the SGAC e-Service or MyICA Mobile app. Travellers who fail to submit SGAC may be denied entry into Singapore.
Prohibited Items
Please note that the following items are STRICTLY PROHIBITED from being brought into Singapore:
- Chewing gum
- Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products (for example, electronic cigarettes, vaporisers, nicotine pouches)
- Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances
- Obscene articles, publications, videotapes, videodiscs and software
- Reproductions of copyright publications, videotapes, videodiscs and laser discs, records and cassettes
- Seditious and treasonable materials
Changi Airport
Singapore Changi Airport is one of the world’s leading air travel hubs, known for its efficiency, comfort, and wide range of amenities for travellers. The airport has four main passenger terminals (Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4), all connected by complimentary Skytrain services and shuttle buses, making transfers seamless and convenient.
Transportation Options
Getting from the airport into the city is easy and well-organised. Visitors can take the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) from Terminal 2 or 3, which connects directly to the city centre. Taxis and ride-hailing services are readily available at all terminals, while public buses offer a more economical option. For added convenience, private airport transfers and hotel shuttles can also be arranged, ensuring a smooth start to your stay in Singapore.
1) Mass Rapid Transit (MRT)
- The most convenient and cost-effective way to reach the city is via the Mass Rapid Transit. The Changi Airport MRT station is located between Terminals 2 and 3. Trains connect to the East–West Line via Tanah Merah station, providing access to key areas such as the city centre, business districts, and major interchanges.
2) Taxis & Ride-Hailing
- Taxis are available 24/7 at designated stands across all terminals, offering a direct and comfortable ride to your destination.
- Ride-hailing services such as Grab and Gojek are also widely used in Singapore, with pick-up points clearly marked. Fares are metered or fixed depending on the service and time of day.
3) Public Buses
- Public buses operate from the airport to various parts of Singapore and are a budget-friendly option. Bus stops are located in the basement of Terminals 1, 2, and 3, and outside Terminal 4.
4) Private Transfers & Hotel Shuttles
- For added convenience, travellers can pre-book private transfers or arrange hotel shuttle services.
5) Car Rentals
- If you prefer to drive, car rental counters are available at the airport. Singapore’s roads are well-maintained and clearly signposted, though visitors should note that traffic drives on the left.
